Although Atlanta has been home since September of 2023, Michigan and Chicago raised and built me. I was born in Wayne, relocated to metro Flint before elementary school, and bounced between Michigan and Illinois in childhood and adulthood.

Parts of the Midwest feel painful, but other parts feel healing and grounding. My life has taken many twists and turns, but in the end, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
